Imagine a place full of casinos everywhere , a huge resort where you feel like you're in Venice , and a Portuguese inspired stores , structures and road pavements . All of these in just one place and to be seen in Asia ...

MACAU or MACAO - is one of the special administrative region of China and a haven for huge resorts and casinos .

From Hong Kong , visiting Macao is mostly a side trip with a half day or a full day roaming around and visit common places in this former Portuguese colony. Most of the tourists from Hong Kong either take the ferry from Sheung Wan on Central Island and HK-China Terminal in Kowloon Side.

How to get there :

To reach Sheung Wan - take the MTR to Central station and alight sheung wan and exit D
To reach HK-China Terminal in Kowloon - from Tshim Sha Tsui just walk and cross Haiphong Road to reach Canton Road and turn right . The ferry terminal is at the 2nd floor of the HK-China Outlet Mall.

Before we left for Macau , we searched for a place to fill our growling tummy and we dined in at the restaurant named Very Good Seafood restaurant which for me wasn't good at all ; aside from expensive , cheapskate staff , the service was horrible as per our experience!!

After our dissatisfied meal . We headed straight to the ferry terminal in Canton Road , Kowloon. The terminal is at the 2nd floor of the harbour outlet mall. We purchased our tickets from there and took the 12 noon ride to Macau Harbour Terminal.

When you reached Canton Road turn right and walk straight until you reach the HK Harbour Outlet mall. The terminal is at the 2nd floor of the building.

It was a smooth ride that lasted almost an hour and finally the ferry docked macau harbour ..

FACT! One can actually go to anywhere in Macau without spending a single penny . Here's why?

First , one can take advantage of free shuttle buses of casinos located outside the terminal and in any of the huge casinos in Macau Peninsula and Cotai Strip.

For us , we took the Venetian shuttle and brought us of course to the beautiful , huge , magnificent Venetian Hotel and Casino in Cotai Strip. The largest casino in the world and bigger than the venetian counter part in Vegas.

Once you turn right , take the escalator up

Voila..you just need to hop in to any of the free shuttle buses to your destination

Macau is divided into 3 regions Macau Peninsula where the St Paul Ruins and Lisboa Casino MGM and Wynn Resorts and Casino is located. The others Cotai strip and Coloane

Leaving Macau peninsula to arrived at Cotai strip where Venetian and City of Dreams are located

Finally arrived safe and sound at West Lobby of Venetian Hotel. I felt flabbergasted with the beauty of this casino...

Once entered the grand canal shoppe . It was like I am in Venice .The ambiance of the place and of course the Gondolas around which made it more uniquely venice-ssimo!!! romantic and majestic.

It's amazing how they perfected the sky like ceiling that looks so freakin REAL... You wont even think that you are actually inside the largest casino in the world

We found our way to the main lobby after our late lunch to check what the main lobby has to offer to it's guests.

We only have one day in Macau , and there are still lots of places to see and casinos to check. Therefore, we utilized again one of shuttle buses at the west lobby and rode back to Ferry Terminal and transferred to Grand Lisboa shuttle bus.

I didn't get the chance to check the Macau Tower ..maybe next time..I will do bungee jump..wehhh...

From Grand Lisboa ..one can walk from Lisboa to Senado Square ..dire diretso lang..

After few minutes of brisk walking ..finally we arrived at senado square..look at all the road pavements and the surroundings ...prang di mo iisipin nasa part ka ng China at nasa Europe ka lang

Macau was colonized by Portugal kaya nandun pa den un influence nang mayamang kultura ng Macau from their past colonization.

Remember , about not spending a single penny in Macau . Second , is FREE food and drinks from the casinos. You can take bottled water for free . Actually, they're offering it to their guests and even non guests basta wag ka lang papahalata naman..hahahaha..Then, on way to Ruins of St. Paul are plenitude of shops offering free taste of biscuits and dried beef meat and kung ano ano na ung mismong tindera pa ang mag aalok sayu...however I find the dry meat stale sorry..
