SINGAPORE

Year 2011 ,visited a dear friend working in Singapore . Just want to post pictures of our happy moments when I went there for a week. It was a blast and Singapore has a lot to offer although it's a small country but there are plenitude of  activities to do and of course don't forget about FOOD and SHOPPING!!!!

Here are some  picture perfect memories of my unforgettable trip in SG...Enjoy!!
Merlion standing 8.6 metres tall  in Merlion Park  is the icon of Singapore making it the national personification of the Country

Located at Merlion Park at One Fullerton which is a major tourist attraction

the durian shape like structure is the Esplanade Theater - home and venue for the performing  arts and artists of Singapore and International performers.

Marina Bay Sands in the background is a luxury hotel resort and casino in Singapore Bay and holds the record of the world's most expensive building with a  cost of whopping 4.7 billion US$ according to wikipedia.

If they look supah gorgeous in the morning then wait till it's night time when all the city are covered with lights which makes the place look more vibrant in my eyes and for everyone for sure..

isn't the view more spectacular at night..ohhh my I miss Singapore..they say the view from the top of Marina Bay Sands will capture the beauty of the whole city..It will be  at the top of my itinerary when I visit again Singapore hopefully next year..

The reminiscent lotus flower like structure is the ArtScience Museum adding one of the attractions in Marina Bay

The giant ferris wheel is the Singapore Flyer or the observation wheel . It used to be the world tallest ferris wheel with 541 feet from the ground  until the inauguration of the High Roller in Las Vegas USA standing 550 ft

Adding more glittery lights around Marina Bay is the Helix Bridge- well its just a bridge linking Marina Centre and Marina South but it is by far the most beautiful well designed bridge I've seen ..

HOW TO GET THERE
  1. MRT . take the MRT and alight at City Hall, Raffles Place and Marina Bay Stations or the Promenade and Esplanade Stations on the Circle Line. You can also alight at Downtown and Bayfront stations on the Downtown Line.
  2. WATER TAXISFor an alternative scenic commute in the city, take a boat from any of the 24 boat landing points extending from Jiak Kim along Singapore River into Marina Bay and all the way to Marina Barrage. Fares start from an affordable S$3 onwards

Next stop Universal Studios in Resorts World Sentosa in Sentosa Island

Orchard Road is the place for upscale shopping where huge stores of high end signature brands are located like LV, Gucci, Giorgio Armani and a lot more . For Filipinos , Lucky Plaza is also located here where they get to spend their off days meeting fellow kababayans. It was funny cause one seller from the plaza which is also a Filipina thought that I am Thailander or Malaysian. hehehe..

Lastly , I went to BUGIS street and I love it there.. But unfortunately for whatever reason I forgot to take pictures of the place maybe because I'm all hyped with  the clothes , shoes , bags and foods everywhere. Definitely worth a visit.

since I forgot to take picture of the place..here's a glimpse of Bugis Singapore. Above image taken from google
